The Girl Of My Dreams

Some girls view a "perfect me" as a ravishingly beautiful girl, with certain physical qualities that they see as matchless and stunning.

I think every girl craves beauty. The desire to be beautiful is ingrained in us, which is probably the reason some of us spend so long in front of the mirror every morning, or before going out in public. But, no matter how many hours we spend in front of the mirror, and no matter how much money we pour into our wardrobes, we still are not perfect, and often don't feel perfect either.

We can never "feel" perfect for a number of reasons, one of which is that our goals of perfection are often too high for ourselves. However, there is a way that we can be perfect; but with a different kind of beauty, one that can take more than a lifetime to perfect.

This beauty is matchless, ravishing, sparkling with purity, and guess what - you can have it for your very own, if you are a daughter of the King.

It can be called "spiritual beauty," as well as "character." A meek and quiet spirit, wisdom, peace, patience, gentleness and charity - these things can truly make a person beautiful.

If Jesus has cleansed you, and is working from the inside out, it is possible for even the "ugliest" (as some girls think of themselves) to be truly beautiful.

The girl of my dreams, that I am becoming, is beautiful in character and spirit. Whether her looks are plain or intricately beautiful, I don't care so much. Don't get me wrong, I want to be beautiful physically, probably just as much as the next girl in line, but that isn't as important to me as the spiritual beauty and character that God is pleased in.

So, I hope this will be encouraging to you - as I hope it will be to me - during the next "bad hair day" that rolls around. :D
