"'Morning, Cuteness," I mumble in my scratchy too-sleepy-for-talk voice. She giggles. "Hello, Loveable." (All of us Pyatskowit kids have code names for each other - "Anything eater" and "Coffee lover" include two of the ones Becca came up with.)
Kara practices her piano - "Dawn" from Pride and Prejudice. Gorgeous. Finishing chores to the sound of romantic piano music just adds something to my day - every day.
Bible. The first subject of the day. I sit in the very large blue chair looking up verses with Isaac and Becca. "When thou liest down, thou shalt not be afraid: yea, thou shalt lie down, and thy sleep shall be sweet. Be not afraid of sudden fear, neither of the desolation of the wicked when it cometh.
For the Lord shall be thy confidence and shall keep thy foot from being taken." - We're studying courage right now.
Devotions. There's something so calming about putting things in His hands. Just leave you worries and spend some time talking to your best friend, alone. He loves to hear from you.
Listening to the younger classes learn Science from my quiet workroom upstairs - the lusty renditions of "Vaaaaaaaascular, o-oh vascular plants...."
"Vaaaaascular, o-oh vascular plants...
Vaaaaascular o-oh vascular plants
All have transporting tubes!"
*sung to the tune of the Battle Hymn of The Republic*
And I'm thankful to be homeschooled...
Glad to be alive...
Content to belong to Christ...
and happy to be here.
At home.
Today.
