A cheerful person is a light shining in a dark world. Every day he tells the world, "Good is coming if you will receive it!" He spreads light by speaking truth to those hearing lies. He has hope because he believes the Bible when it says that "All things work together for good to those who love God." He has courage to live because he knows that his God is in control of his future. He has every reason to rejoice and no reason to despair.
You can be that person.
Get to know the truth. Refuse to let yourself become discouraged. Let God's cheerful Spirit rule your heart. Life is full of hope. If you find yourself sliding into discouragement or into a sour attitude, know for sure that you are listening to some form of a lie. Go back to the truth and believe it.
If you will let cheerfulness dwell in your heart, you will brighten the lives of many fearful and hurting people."
