The Lady of the House

::The Perks of Mine Own Habitation::

A GREAT BIG REFRIDGERATOR.

Sunshine in the windows.

The first meal at our own table ((pictured))

A place for everything (and...everything will be in its' place eventually..*cough)

Lounging  on our comfy hand-me-down couch with Haven and Daddy *be still my heart

He got me a dishwasher. Sweet, wonderful man. I love them both.

Hanging laundry out on my own airy clothesline.

Having two racks in my oven.

Being able to pop a load of laundry in the washer whenever I please, instead of taking it up to my Mother-in-law's house.

Being able to walk into the next room and not see the dishes on the counter. (Seriously. Walls are fantastical things.)

In short; I'm overjoyed. There's nothing like One's own family in One's own house. It's like I told Ethan the other day; "Isn't it wonderful to be happy?" Not that I wasn't before, but when "your cup runneth over," you can't help but feel extra thankful.

In a year, I've married the love of my life, become "Mommy" to the most beautiful little girl in the world, and begun to set up housekeeping in a little house in Shingle Hollow.

I'm so thankful for everyone who pitched in to help get us in when the baby came early, and most especially for my hard-working husband, who would regularly get up at 5:45 to go to work all day, after tearing out walls, or scratching tar off of the wood floors, or scraping  popcorn off the ceiling 'til early, early in the morning.

There's still a LOT to be done, but it's starting to take on the ambience of "home" - and that's what matters most. ❤️

The picture is so inviting! Love the fresh flowers and the sunshine streaming in. Can't wait to see it!

I love how you're totally nonchalant about the fact that your husband was up late scraping popcorn off the ceiling. :)

I want a wall to hide my dishes!! I will take the time to organize dirty dishes in the sink, if I don't have enough time to wash them. *face palm* It calms my nerves a little bit.

I'd love to see more pictures! Especially of your little peanut!
