And Then There Were Three...(Week 21)

The Baby; The Bump

She's 10 and 1/2 inches long now!! I can tell. All that squirming and kicking means those tiny arms and legs are getting stronger:) It felt like a miracle the first time I realized my stomach wasn't just rumbling again. I had flopped stomach-down on the bed (yes, I know. I should be more careful) to text Kara. Something squirmed, miserably, as if to beg me to get off. Of course I stayed there, frozen, hoping to feel it again. (Like a good Momma, of course;)

Le Closet Project:

I figured out that skirts that are a size or two bigger are far more comfortable than the few maternity alternatives that I managed to find. As long as the pattern is loose and flowing, I can actually still wear most of the ones that I've always worn. But MOTHERHOOD maternity is my new favorite store:) They have all sorts of summery chiffon tops that would be adorbs for NOT Pregnant. It'll be hard for me to put those into storage after the baby weight comes off...

The Countdown:

I'm getting huge. But I'm starting the sixth month on Saturday, so that is absolutely fantastic!! Kara is going to be my waiting buddy, and is looking at flights this week. Hopefully, Miss Pritchard will come early. Some say that first-babies do...so Kara will be polishing her camera lenses and coming to wait with me for a whole week before the due date. ((I can't wait!!))

Daddy-to-be:

Ethan continues to cater to my cravings (not without smiling to himself.) Oddly enough, potatoes have been what the child's been asking for. Most Daddies don't mind potato wedges after church, and Ethan is no exception. ((We contentedly split a family order after service last Sunday night...but you didn't hear that from me.)) He massages my back when it's killing me, orders me decaff coffee when I "just, just... NEEEEEED SOME." And, In an act of pure selflessness, escorts me into the mall to look for more maternity clothes. (Even though he hates shopping. And hates malls even worse.)

And for some reason he still looks at me with that cocky grin and asks; "So how did I get to marry you, again?"

Pretty sure I got the bestest, cutest, most wonderfullest guy ever.

Speaking of which, I need to go make him some supper.

*Ta-ta!

What a sweet husband you have! Feeling the baby move is one of the things that I still miss...nothing quite like it in the world. We need to see another pic of the baby bump, though!
Love,
Mom
