And Then There Were Three...(week 13 and 14)

No worries my dears - I'm still alive and healthy! (Just considerably more busy.) Please pardon my absence.

::The Baby; The Bump::

My week 14 update dramatically informed me, that if I still had a waist, now was time to say good byes. "Now THAT," I thought grimly, "Is the wrong way to say something." Cautiously, half scared to death, I put my hand to where I knew my waist used to be. Sweet relief; there it was. I'd never been so thankful. But I've said good bye and am anxiously awaiting its' departure. (And finally, at long last, I'm beginning to show a little bit!!)

I still catch myself trying to hold in my growing stomach, out of habit. It's quite a strain, these days since, well, I'm not telling how many more pounds I may have gained. Sorry. It's classified. But I've come to grips with the scale numbers. The second trimester is time to have a REAL bump, and real, comfy maternity clothes, and cute, pre-baby pictures... and I have a feeling (it feels kinda like the pinch of too-small skirt bands) that all that is drawing very, wonderfully near.

Ethan is elated. Yes. That's the best word to describe him. He begs me to please not hold my belly in, and looks so completely thrilled when he catches me not holding it in, that I have to smile with him; because that brilliant this-is-so-awesome kind of smile is so silently, incredibly contagious:)

::Doctors and stuff::

We get to find out if it's a he or she at the next appointment!!! I didn't think that day would ever come...but it's coming!! So I'm planning the gender reveal party that I've wanted to plan for so long:) The Pritchard clan is gonna have to work for this choice morsel of news, to put it lightly:) *mwahahahaha

::Maternity Clothes::

I'm working on my accumulation. My sweet sister-in-law found half-a-zillion things for me the other day, and I've been ordering stuff online. Ethan graciously took me to Cato to get a few new outfits to get me through (until the maternity clothes aren't huge on me). He barely survived, but was trying his best to be a good sport about it. It's hilarious to go shopping with that man. He's been known to disappear to the Food Court... "I'll be right back..."

:: Advice from the pregnant lady::

Be yourself. Don't try to hide who you are. It hurts to hold your belly in.

Return your scale. Exchange it for blissful ignorance and leave feeling lighter. In heart.

Never say "No" when presented with the opportunity to bless and strengthen someone. Your baby needs that extra snack. s.

Tell your husband if you've had a really awful day. He will probably bring you flowers, give you a big hug, and tell you that if you need to cry, he doesn't mind. Of course, this would fix everything.  (I love my husband. Needless to say.)

Alright! Stay healthy and happy:) I'll probably have another picture next week, ((Don't think I can't hear that rejoicing all the way over here, Kara and Mom;))

So excited for another picture! (And this one better not be rigged!) Can't believe it's almost time to find out whether it's a he or a she...super exciting. Good idea to return the scale. Building a new wardrobe is super fun, too. Love you!

Aw, what a good husband!! Shopping brings out the best (or the worst) in men, I do think...

And don't you dare hold in your belly, because even pre-baby bumps are cute. :) I'm still totally stinking excited for you!
