Lord, thank you for giving me such a beautiful Momma. So many times I've looked around at children whose parents aren't interested in their lives; who don't take time to say "I love you" with more than words.

I think about all the times she's held me when I cried; all the days that she's loved me in spite of the helplessness she must have felt. Her constant selflessness and reliance on you is what taught me to trust in your name. She and Dad didn't have to tell me how real you are (although they did). They just simply lived - and through their living, I first learned of your great love.

Thank you - that I didn't have to grow up wondering if someone cared about me.
Thank you - for arms to hold me when fear shook my footsteps.
Thank you - for someone who taught me to serve you with all my heart, soul and mind.
Thank you - for a Godly woman who raised me to be an "Esther" in a world of easy standards and loose living.
Thank you - for her words of comfort that still give me courage to be confident in who you made me. I know you have a plan for my life. Here I am; send me.
Thank you - for not taking her away from us, when we might have had to grow up alone. You are infinitely gracious. I praise you for knowing our needs.

Bless her now, Lord. Give her wisdom and strength for another year of serving, teaching and trusting you for the answers. Remind her that nothing she does goes unseen - her example inspires so many, and I know you have an amazing reward waiting for her. Help her to know how much we need her -how much we love her, and grant her heart's desires.

In Jesus Name
Amen
