Overwhelmed.

There are days when you don't think you can handle what's on your ((proverbial)) plate. The last few weeks have been busy and full of new things that I wasn't sure how to do. The first reaction our human nature has coming, is to stress out. In spite of how incredibly interesting some of the circumstances have been, it's been helpful to go through them, because I've learned a few things.

Taking a minute and get by yourself with God will give you peace. He cares about what you're faced with {In fact, He's using this for your good, already}. It's fine that you don't have any way of knowing what to do, because He does. (Whether you can't get a cat your pet-sitting to eat his food, or you're making other, major decisions.) Tell him everything - and don't be embarrassed to cry. He won't mind.

Sitting down and reading your Bible will completely change your perspective - open it with an open heart and ask God to speak to you. He can even lead you to right place to read. A special verse that I read was "Ask and it shall be given you, seek and ye shall find, knock and it shall be opened unto you" - and the chapter went on to reassure even further,  how much God wants to help you. The next night, I read almost three whole chapters that were a continual list of how completely able God is to turn a situation around. (Check out the last chapters in the book of Job, if you're interested.) Forget about the clock and re-charge in His presence.

Continue with your tasks "One thing at a time" - as Mom has told me in the past.

Get in there and get it over with! Whatever you're dreading usually isn't half as bad as you think it's going to be.

Sing. "Put on the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness." Music changes the atmosphere and brings God's presence.

Laugh about it - I wrote a sarcastic-ish journal entry about what was going on, intending to laugh about it in years to come. You'd be surprised how much it helps.

Know that difficult things only come for a little while. Ultimately everything will be over, eventually - and you have the assurance that it'll be for your good.

Lastly, never forget what God is teaching you through these things, and be sure to remember the answers to your prayers. These testimonies will encourage others and, many times, even you - as you realize that God's always taken care of you before; what do you have to fear, now?
