A Bridesmaid

"I'm just too nervous..." She said, sighing and letting her hands fall to her lap.

"Here let me help you."

The wedding day had finally arrived and was already full of wonderful memories. The running around between motel rooms (aka: girls headquarters, girls' changing room, Dad and Mom's room, the chapel, and just trying to find Virginia) was more fun than hurry, and the hour and a half that a friend had spent on my hair-do was relished.

There were pictures galore, slow aisle walking, sore feet, beautiful songs, warm lighting, cheers, speeches, family, kind words, excitement, pizza, secrets, friends, truck decorating (we wrapped the whole thing in saran wrap after filling it with balloons. There were special effects, such as name-signing and putting tiger-striped duct - tape on the hubcaps/whole thing and heart-shaped balloons on the front..).

All in all, it was wonderful to feel involved and be a necessary, hopefully helpful, part of the whole operation. It was special to think that maybe there was a chance that I made or could make somebody else feel special.

(I think that should be the ultimate goal of any bridesmaid - to make everyone feel special,  but most especially the bride, because it's her special day.)

Anyhoo: I really enjoyed myself, and hope that you will enjoy the pictures. :)

Ohhhh. The bride, the bridesmaids, and the wedding look absolutely beautiful! :)

I've never been a bridesmaid, but since I have two sisters, I'm thinking that I'll probably get to be one eventually. ;) It looks like a lot of fun.

I hope someone offers to get married soon, because after reading this, I really want to be a bridesmaid! :D

Anna, you were most certainly a beautiful, crucial part of Virginia's special day. You're such a sweet friend.

And I can't get over how well put-together the wedding was. Just.plain.gorgeous.
