I remember one time, when I think Mom had left Anna and I to make supper. (BAD mistake! jk) While we were in the midst of all this chaos, something under a burner must have like caught fire or something. I was about to open a window but realized "Dad is out talking to the neighbor. IF I open this window, and a big cloud of smoke comes billowing out...is he going to appreciate it?" I didn't think he would. So...we were in a rather smoky house for a while! :)
