A random up-date

Everyone is tired.... well, I am anyway..

We've had our cousins over for....one day and an evening now. It has been extremely enjoyable.

They have come all the way from Ohio, which makes it much more interesting. We get to hear how "all" the relatives are doing, and who's baby looks like whom, and who does this, and who is good at that. It's great to catch-up again.

Then, there's that wonderful "down-home" accent. It seems so warm and friendly... there's just something inviting about it somehow.

Okay... I know this is horrid... but another thing I like about "Southern" people, is that they have a tendency to help with the dishes. :D Other people just eat, and then leave the mess for the host to clean up - not these people. They're helpful and very realistic.

So, we've been doing dishes, and talking about everything, and they have been asking what they can bring to our meals, and we always tell them that we really don't need anything more. So we cook and compliment each-other, play and explore, (it's mostly the kids who do the playing and exploring.) And we all love to sing...

So, yeah. We're all having a really good time. :)

Wow. I must not be a Southerner! Me born in Mississippi, my, my. I am the last person to volunteer to do the dishes. Always.

I forgot to comment on the Literary Lasses about your post - fried eggs? That is too hilarious! You must put that post on your blog!! Why was everything randomly stored in plastic bags? And I actually think mochoa powder instead of cocoa powder sounds nice. :)

*hugs*

P.s. In case you didn't know, I joined the blog roll. :D http://www.joyfullgirlcreations.blogspot.com

Only in Wisconsin could Ohio be considered southern.

:o)

I love my southern cousins too...any cousins, really, and help with the dishes is just icing on the cake.

By the way, did you get my phone call? I left a message but ((gasp)) wasn't sure I called the right number. :P

You should tell "The Bear". It would help him in his winning ways.
